The Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl will stop birds nesting in your chimney – it has a robust cage type stainless steel mesh housing that will prevent this.
It protects your chimney against rain and moisture penetration – suitable for chimneys that are in use or chimneys that are used infrequently. Also, it is used for chimneys that are not used at all.
The Anti Rain / Anti Bird Chimney Cowl offers maximum protection without impeding the performance of the chimney.

What the Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl/Cap will not do.
This cowl will not prevent a downdraught in your chimney – the Spinner Anti Down Draught Chimney Cowl or the Static Anti Down Draught Chimney Cowl will prevent a downdraught.
This cowl will not create an up-draught or increase the performance of the chimney.
This cowl will not completely prevent severe driving or horizontal moving rain often experienced on the coast or in elevated positions – the Static Anti Down Draught Chimney Cowl will prevent driving rain.
Fitting:
The Anti Rain / Anti Bird Chimney Cowl/Cap is very easy to fit – only a screw driver is required
The Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl/cap will fit standard chimney pots – the circular base diameter of the Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl is 9” or 230mm.
However, this cowl will fit any chimney pot between 8” and 9” (200mm and 230mm) internal diameter and 10” and 11” (254mm and 279mm) external diameter. Most chimney pots have a wall thickness of approximately 1”.
